Terms of Service

Last updated: January 2025

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing calc.company, you agree that mathematics is a privilege, not a right. These terms govern your use of our premium calculation infrastructure.

2. Service Description

calc.company provides mathematical operations including but not limited to: addition (+), subtraction (-), multiplication (×), and division (÷). The equals sign (=) is a premium feature subject to subscription terms.

3. Free Tier Limitations

Free users receive approximate results with up to 7 decimal places of variance. This is not a bug. This is a feature designed to encourage upgrades. By using the free tier, you acknowledge that 3.9999999 is close enough to 4 for casual use.

4. Subscription Terms

Paid subscriptions grant access to exact results. "Exact" is defined as results matching those produced by competing calculators to within 0.0000001%. Subscriptions auto-renew because we assume you still need math.

5. Prohibited Uses

You may not use calc.company to:

  • Calculate results exceeding 999,999,999 without Enterprise license
  • Perform calculations for nuclear facilities (contact sales)
  • Divide by zero (system will reject)
  • Use negative numbers without appropriate tier
  • Share your equals sign access with others

6. Intellectual Property

All calculations performed through calc.company remain the intellectual property of calc.company Ltd. Your inputs are yours. Your outputs are ours. We reserve the right to use anonymized calculation data to improve our approximately accurate algorithms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

calc.company provides calculations "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that 2+2 will always equal 4, though historically it has approximately 99.9% of the time. Past performance does not guarantee future results.

8. Limitation of Liability

calc.company shall not be liable for any damages arising from incorrect calculations, including but not limited to: failed exams, accounting errors, bridge collapses, or existential crises caused by mathematical uncertainty.

9. Termination

We may terminate your access if you attempt to calculate results manually, use a competing calculator, or publicly claim that math should be free.
